Bikes and Coffee 5/31/26: El Dorado Nature Center

Flyer for Bike Long Beach's Bikes and Coffee ride for May, to El Dorado Nature Center.

Did you know that El Dorado park is home to a Nature Center that provides sanctuary for animals and plant life across 105 acres? And did you know that while cars have to pay an entrance fee, it’s free for bikes and pedestrians? Join us on Sunday, May 31st, as we wrap up Bike Month by riding to this oasis of natural habitat within Long Beach.

We’ll meet at the Recreation Park playground (find the dinosaur) on Federation Dr. right off of 7th street, and from there we’ll set out on a 13 mile round trip to El Dorado park. Once there we’ll visit the Nature Center, and perhaps some of the many other things the park has to offer. There’s 4 miles of bike paths, an archery range, a duck pond, lakes, baseball and tennis courts, a skate park and even a small theme park with a train!

On our way back we’ll stop to grab some coffee and snacks, of course, and we’ll finish the ride at the starting point.

This is a casual pace ride, and everyone is welcome, on any kind of bike. Come meet and hang out with fellow bike people. Bring a bike in good condition, helmet and a lock. See you there!

Please sign our ride waiver if you’re planning on attending.
