Once again, CicLavia lands on the same day as our scheduled Bikes and Coffee ride, so we’re turning it into a feeder ride.
Join us this Sunday, June 28 on a ride from Long Beach to CicLAvia Leimert Park meets Expo Park. The meeting spot is Steelcraft, at 8:30 a.m. We’ll have time to hang out and grab some coffee before we take off at 9 a.m.
The ride there will start on the LA River and then zig-zag through bike lanes and quiet streets for 22 miles towards the Leimert Park hub. We’ll explore CicLAvia and then head back from the Expo Park hub, via the Slauson rail-to-rail path and what will eventually be the rail-to-river ride, reaching Steelcraft after 21 miles.
If you rather not ride back, another option is taking Metro all the way back to Long Beach. The E line is easily reachable from the Expo Park hub. Keep in mind there is a World Cup game at SoFi stadium at noon, so the trains might be packed!
Everyone is welcome on any bike, but be mindful that this is a significantly longer adventure than our usual Bikes and Coffee rides so it’s not recommended for beginners. Bring a bike in good condition, a helmet, and a lock. See you there!
